Community Counseling & Mediation (CCM) works in underserved Brooklyn communities and with at-risk New York City populations to address the root causes of family instability, complex trauma, homelessness, and unhealthy personal choices. Our singular goal is to help every person and family we touch to live their best life and achieve their optimal wellbeing.

Utilizing evidence-based, culturally competent practices to achieve positive outcomes and keep families together, CCM strives to improve the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development of 10,000 New Yorkers every year through our network of NYS-licensed outpatient mental health clinics, award-winning supportive housing facilities, HIV and hepatitis prevention services, case management, and youth enrichment programs.

Counseling In Counseling In Schools provides customized services with staff placed in schools, helping students, teachers, staff and families thrive.

Every Counseling in Schools program is grounded in the belief that supporting students academically, creatively, and emotionally empowers them to thrive both in school and beyond. Our inclusive programs create safe, engaging, and supportive environments where all students can participate and succeed, led by experienced educators, social workers, and creative arts therapists. Through structured activities that strengthen social emotional learning and offer access to counseling and mental health supports, CIS staff mentor students to become confident, compassionate leaders. A wide variety of clubs and enrichment opportunities spark curiosity, foster creativity, and build meaningful connections, promoting academic growth, wellness, and community engagement.
